Following recent reports of robbery, theft and breakings in some townships within Blantyre, police officers on April 29, 2022 conducted an intelligence driven operation operation and 70 suspects were arrested in the process at Bvumbwe and Manje townships.
This is an on going operation intending to sanitize areas within Limbe Police Station's jurisdiction, making it free from criminal activities.
Limbe Police is urging citizens of good will to continue giving them information concerning those behind the criminal acts.
The suspects are answering charges of; theft, robbery, found in possession of property suspected to have been stolen, breaking into a building and committing a felony therein among others.
They are to appear in court soon to answer charges levelled against them.
