The Ministry of Gender, Community Development and Social Welfare has described radio as a crucial tool in combating Sexual Gender Based Violence (SGBV) in the country.
Principal Gender and Social Welfare Officer in the Ministry, Goodson Jumbe, has said this today, 15 February 2025 during the close of a four-day workshop for Police Public Relations Officers (PROs) and reporters for Police FM Radio held at Police College in Zomba.
Jumbe says radio teaches a lot of people about evils of GBV and ways of dealing with it; saying this is why the Ministry values this medium.
