Six motorcycles recovered in Limbe, three suspects arrested

Police in Limbe have arrested three men on suspicion that they were robbing Kabaza taxi 
operators.


The three have been identified as Upile Mpunga aged 24, from Matowe Village, in Traditional Authority Mpama in Chiradzulu, Stanley Watson, 33, from Kapyepye Village, Traditional Authority Bvumbwe in Thyolo, and Paul Banda aged 23, from Sakwenda Village in  Traditional Authority Kaduya in Phalombe.

Police launched an intelligence driven operation following a spate of robbery cases whose victims were mostly kabaza operators.

The incidents were reported within Limbe Townships, especially at Peletia, Central High, and Mapanga.

During the raid, the detectives managed to arrest the suspects and recover six motorcycles believed to have been stolen from the Kabaza operators.

The trio will appear before court to answer the charge of robbery.
