The Malawi Police Service (MPS) is developing a Gender Policy to promote fairness, safety, and equal treatment for both men and women in the service expected to be launched before the upcoming 2025 general elections.

The move was announced during a consultation meeting held in Lilongwe at the National Police Headquarters, where police officers, partners, and gender experts came together to shape the final draft.

April 4, 2025, will go down in history as female cops and officers’ wives from the National Police Headquarters in Lilongwe celebrated the Women's World Day of Prayer as a tool to end Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

Jumbe says radio teaches a lot of people about evils of GBV and ways of dealing with it; saying this is why the Ministry values this medium.

The Inspector General of Police, Mrs. Merlyne Yolamu, has expressed confidence that the Malawi Police Service (MPS) is prepared to ensure security during and after the September 16, 2025, general elections.

In an exciting boost for volleyball sports development in Malawi, Jia Bai Li Supermarket and Purity Sanitary Products have teamed up as co-sponsors of Blue Eagles Volleyball club for the upcoming 2025 league season. In a bid to enhance road safety in Malawi, the Road Safety Alert Foundation (ROSAF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Malawi Police Service (MPS).

The agreement was formalized on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at the National Police Headquarters in Lilongwe, marking the start of a critical partnership aimed at reducing road accidents across the country.
